William Gallas has announced he is ready to become the full time captain of Arsenal after Thierry Henry's summer departure. William Gallas is now one of the more experienced players at Arsenal after Wenger has called on more youngsters to fill the void this season.
Gilberto Silva had been expected to take on the role, but it looks as if Gallas has been chosen. Gallas also believes Arsenal are perfectly capable of winning trophies this season and said, "we have to be optimistic and have the mentality of champions."
