Porto midfielder Lucho Gonzalez is wanted by Everton and David Moyes. Reports are stating that Everton are ready to pay up to £10m for the Argentine international, and are keen to link him up with other key midfielders Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta.

If the deal goes through, it will break Everton's transfer record previously held by Andy Johnson's signing for £8.6m. Real Madrid were linked with a move for the player and Valencia had a bid rebuffed, so if Everton sign Lucho it will be a coup for the Merseyside club.
