Everton want Lucho

05 August 2007 - 18:26

Porto midfielder Lucho Gonzalez is wanted by Everton and David Moyes. Reports are stating that Everton are ready to pay up to £10m for the Argentine international, and are keen to link him up with other key midfielders Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • If the deal goes through, it will break Everton's transfer record previously held by Andy Johnson's signing for £8.6m. Real Madrid were linked with a move for the player and Valencia had a bid rebuffed, so if Everton sign Lucho it will be a coup for the Merseyside club.
