Liverpool are in talks to sign up one of Premier League's best strikers, Metro reports.
Red boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on bringing in a top-class striker this summer, having seen the likes of Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli fluff their lines in front of goal last season.
According to Metro, the Reds owners have made contact with the Villans regarding a possible summer move for the Belgian international.
Benteke had been in top form for the Villans in the back-end of the Premier League season, and this helped them beat the drop.
