Boyata seals Celtic transfer

Dedryck Boyata joins Celtic

02 June 2015 - 12:11

Dedryck Boyata has successful completed his move to Scottish champions Celtic from Manchester City.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Belgian international was a bit-part player for the Premier League side, and was only used for low affair games.

It has now been confirmed that the 24-year-old has joined the Hoops on a four-year deal for a reported fee of around £1.5m.

"It feels really good. Celtic are a very big club and it feels good to be a part of it," Boyata told Celtic's official website.

"The manager came to see me in Manchester and I spoke to him about having me here and all the ideas he had for me playing for the team.

"So I was very pleased with his plans and from that point I thought that moving to Celtic would be a good idea and we tried to do everything right for me to move here."
