The Citizens are keen on signing up the England international, but expect competition from the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea for his services.

Widespread reports reveal that the Citizens have kick started the player's pursuit with a formal bid of around £35m for the Jamaican-born youngster.

However, Liverpool are expected to reject all offers below the £50m for the 20-year-old.
