French side AS Monaco are to contact Everton regarding their Belgian attacking midfielder, Kevin Mirallas. Monaco are contemplating a 15 million euro transfer move and are hopeful that they can defeat Tottenham in the race to Mirallas' agreement.
Mirallas has been an important member of Roberto Martinez's Everton squad for the past few seasons but the interest of Tottenham Hotspur has recently unsettled the Belgium international, who is now weighing up a transfer elsewhere.
AS Monaco had a good season in the Champions League for 2014/15 and are hoping to build on that success and will start by bringing in quality acquisitions from top European clubs. The Principality side have been given a transfer kitty of an estimated 55 million euros and that could be further increased if Radamel Falcao is sold on.
Mirallas is known to favour a move to a side competing in the Champions League, a feat that Everton failed to complete last season.
