The talented midfielder, who has been long linked with a move to the Blues, is understood to be keen on a fresh challenge away from Marseille.

Reports in France cite that the 22-year-old could be on his way to Milan in the summer, with Mancini's side believed to have placed in a bid for his services.

Imbula joined the Ligue 1 giants from Guingamp in the summer of 2013.
