Rafael van der Vaart completes Real Betis move

Netherlands international Rafael van der Vaart has agreed a Bosman fee transfer to newly promoted La Liga side Real Betis.

The 32-year-old was out-of-contract at Hamburg at the end of the season, and had been tipped to make a move to La Liga.

It has now been confirmed that the former Spurs star has agreed to join Los Verdiblancos on a three-year deal.

Van der Vaart had earlier rejected a switch to former club Ajax.
