Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly held talks with one of the club's main transfer targets for the summer.

Wenger is well known to bring in young French talents to the Premier League, and it is now understood that the Frenchman had discussions with Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia over a possible summer move.

Kondogbia was in top form for the Principality outfit last season, and scored the opener during Monaco's 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates in the Champions League Round of 16.
