Inter hitting transfer market

Inter hitting transfer market

28 December 2007 - 10:57

Inter Milan's president Massimo Moratti has admitted that the club's lack of defensive midfield cover could see them entering the transfer market in January. Inter are missing duo Patrick Vieira and Olivier Dacourt.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • "I did not really want to look at alternatives for the midfield because I had no intention of entering into the market, but now Samuel is injured," said Moratti.

"There is a dialogue open with (sporting director Marco) Branca to see what would be the most intelligent move.

"I don't think it could be an Italian player, it could easily be a foreigner.

"If he is not able to play in the Champions League then he will play in Serie A and allow somebody to rest for the cup."
