French champions Paris Saint-Germain have made a formal offer for Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, according to The Express.

The French international joined the Basque outfit just last summer, but has been strongly tipped to leave Vicente Calderon following a successful season where he notched up 25 goals in all competitions.

The Express claims that Les Parisiens have made a bid of around £28.5m in order to beat Premier League giants Chelsea to the player's services.

Griezmann's current contract at PSG has a £43m buy-out clause.
