Manchester City are open to matching Liverpool's asking price of £50m for star winger Raheem Sterling.
The England international is expected to seek a fresh challenge away from Merseyside, following the Reds' failure to attain Champions League football for next season.
The Reds had earlier rejected bids of £25m and £35m from City for the Jamaican-born winger, but The Express cites that the Citizens will come up with a third offer of £50m to land the player's services.
Manchester City have also been linked with a summer move for Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.
