Swansea City boss Garry Monk is confident of beating their rivals to the signature of Celtic defender Virgin van Dijk this summer.
The Netherlands international is expected to make a move to the English top tier in the summer, with a number of Premier League clubs interested in his services.
However, Celtic manager Ronny Deila has stated that the talented centre-back will not be allowed to leave Park Head before the Champions League qualifying rounds.
Reports now claim that the Swans look favourites to sign Van Dijk, with top clubs in Arsenal and Manchester United unlikely to move for the defender as he would be ineligible to play in the Champions League.
