Sunderland to fail in Carl Jenkinson pursuit

23 June 2015 - 15:07

Sunderland look likely to fail in a loan bid for Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson, according to reports.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • The Black Cats were deemed to be in pole position to seal a loan deal for the England ace after they agreed a £2m loan fee.

However, the former Charlton man is not keen on a move to Wearside, and prefers a move back to West Ham United instead.

Reports now claim that the Hammers have known of the player's interest, and will look to finalise a season-long loan for the talented right-back.

Jenkinson made 36 appearances for the Hammers on loan last season.
