Manchester City are expected to beat rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Spain international Sergio Ramos this summer.

The talented defender has been associated with a switch to Old Trafford in recent weeks, following stall in talks over a new deal at Real.

However, the former Sevilla man sorted out his differences and agreed to discuss terms over a new deal.

Reports in Spain now cite that the Citizens will look to take advantage of United's stand-off with Los Blancos to seal a deal for the player's services.

Ramos joined Real Madrid from Sevilla in 2005.
