Inter Milan will look to acquire the services of Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel should they fail in the pursuit of Felipe Melo.

The Nigerian international is expected to seek a fresh challenge away from Stamford Bridge this summer, in spite of manager Jose Mourinho's willingness to keep him at the club.

Reports in Italy cite that the Nerazzurri could make a move for the talented midfielder, if they fail to clinch a summer deal for Galatasaray's Felipe Melo.

Mikel joined the Premier League champions from Lyn Oslo in the summer of 2006.
