Manchester City are expected to step up their pursuit for Monaco's Brazilian defender Fabinho this summer.

The talented defender only joined the Principality outfit in May following two seasons on loan from Real Madrid.

However, The Mail cites that the 21-year-old could be available for a fee of around £15m during the upcoming transfer window.

City boss Manuel Pellegrini is understood to be concerned about the age of the right-backs Pablo Zabaleta, 30 and Bacary Sagna, 32.

Fabinho was part of the Brazilian national setup for the Copa America.
