Augsburg defender Abdul Baba Rahman is close to sealing a summer switch to Chelsea, according to reports.

It had been earlier claimed that the Ghana international may opt against a move to Stamford Bridge, as he could struggle to make his way into the first-team.

However, ESPN reports that the Premier League holders are favourites to sign up the talented left-back, who was in top form for Augsburg last season.

Rahman made 31 appearances for Augsburg last season, as they clinched an impressive fifth place in the Bundesliga.
