The Red Devils are favourites to sign up the French international, who has been a consistent performers for the Saints in the Premier League in recent seasons.
United are expected to seal the player's services during the summer transfer window, but have yet to agree upon a transfer sum.
Multiple reports claim that the Mancunian giants are ready to make an improved offer for Schneiderlin, having seen the Saints swifly reject a £20m bid.
Saints rate Schneiderlin at around £30m.
