Southampton are to complete a move for 25-year-old full back Cuco Martina. The FC Twente defender will join the Saints in a deal worth approximately 4.25 million euros.
With Ryan Bertrand undergoing surgery on both of his knees leaving him out of action for up to six weeks, Southampton coach Ronald Koeman has decided to bring in defensive reinforcements early on.
Martina has attracted the interest of multiple top teams but Southampton are apparently in pole position to snap up the defender, who prefers to play as a right back.
