Derby are set to complete the signing of Argentinian striker Emanuel Villa for £2 million. Derby County hope to sign Villa later this week after he has passed a medical. The UAG Tecos striker grabbed 10 goals in 28 games this season.

    "We can say everything is almost sorted out. I understand we only have to fly there," he told Mexican sports website www.mediotiempo.com.



    "We are going to England on Wednesday.



    "It's a dream come true. I wanted to play in Europe and now I have the opportunity and there is nowhere better than the Premier League.



    "My experience in Mexican football has been positive and I hope I can go on progressing, as I now have an important challenge ahead of me."



    <B>Jewell: no hitches</B>

    "This is a deal we have almost completed. The player will be flying in later this week for a medical," Jewell told the club's official website.



    "Barring any hitches he will sign for us."
