Football Players That Love To Gamble And Play The Casino

20 July 2015 - 07:44

Given the wealth and prestige that is associated with professional football it’s little wonder many of them love a flutter every now and then.

  • Chelsea set to hold talks with £22m winger
  • Chelsea set for contract talks with £26m star

  • Many people often believe that professional footballers earn too much money. Wage rises seem to be on the increase for most footballers each year and each season there seems to be a new record transfer.

You only need to look at Angel di Maria’s record-breaking transfer fee to Manchester United to see proof of that.

European football seasons are long and arduous for many of the players so it’s hardly surprising when they go out and let their hair down for a bit of fun at the casino, or whatever else it is they choose to do.

A lot of the players would choose to do this during and at the end of a long and exhausting football season. Some big name players like to do the same thing as well.

Big names in European football such as Lionel Messi, Girard Pique and Papiss Cisse to name a few.

The most recent season has been a big one for European football.

We saw Barcelona win the Champions League yet again in a great final against Italian giants Juventus. We saw Chelsea take out the Premier League title in England rather easily at the end with Jose Mourinho capping off his second season back at Stamford Bridge with a trophy.

It’s also been a big season for gambling and having a flutter at the casino.

There are many big names who love to gamble after a long season of competitive professional football in Europe.

Professional footballers are in such a heavy limelight these days they don’t often get to feel normal like the rest of the general population so being able to have a flutter is one way they can do that.

It’s one way they can get the thrills that they perhaps get on a football field without actually kicking a football around.
