Nigerian international John Obi Mikel has insisted that he is in no mood to leave the Premier League champions this summer.

  • It had been earlier speculated that the midfield enforcer could end his nine year association with Chelsea for a move to the Middle East.

However, Mikel has revealed that he has no plans of leaving Stamford Bridge for the remaining two years of his contract.

"I want to stay and the manager wants me to stay," he told the club's official website. "I've got two years here and I'm happy.

"I know all the players and all the staff so it's going to be a hard place to leave when my contract runs out but let's see what happens. I want to see out my two years."

Mikel made just six starts for Chelsea in all competitions last season.
