Championship promotion hopefuls Hull City are close to sealing a summer deal for former Newcastle United defender Ryan Taylor.

The 30-year-old is a free agent following his release from Newcastle United earlier this summer.Taylor has spent the past few days training with the Tigers first-team, and Sky Sports News cites that the talented defender will put pen to paper on a permanent contract with the Yorkshire outfit in the next 48 hours.

The former England Under-21 international made 106 appearances for the Magpies between 2008 and 2015.
