Swansea City plot Steven Fletcher swoop

26 July 2015 - 03:24

Swansea City are confident of signing up Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher during the summer transfer window, The Mirror reports.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Scotland international joined the Black Cats from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2012, and has since then been a regular in the starting line-up.

However, he has struggled to find the net on a regular basis in recent seasons, and this had led to talks that Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat could seek a replacement this summer.

According to The Mirror, Swans head coach Garry Monk has targeted a move for the talented marksman, whose current deal runs out in 2016.

Furthermore, the Welsh outfit are confident that a fee of around £4m would be sufficient to seal a deal for the 27-year-old striker this summer.
