Aston Villa have announced the signing of Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew from Lorient on a five-year deal.
The 23-year-old striker underwent a medical earlier today after both clubs agreed on a £9m fee for his transfer.
Villa boss Tim Sherwood revealed the player's arrival via the club's official website, he said : "I'm really pleased to bring Jordan to the football club. He is a fantastic young player who is perfectly suited to the Premier League."
Ayew scored 13 goals in all competitions for the Ligue 1 side last season.
