Atletico Madrid defender Javier Manquillo has linked up with French side Marseille on a season-long loan.
The 21-year-old joined Liverpool on a two-year loan last summer, but struggled to cement his place in the Reds' starting line-up with former defender Glen Johnson preferred ahead of him at right-back for much of the season.
It had been confirmed earlier this month that Manquillo's stint at Merseyside was cut short by a year, after the Reds opted to terminate the loan deal following the signing of Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne this summer.
Manquillo has now completed a move to Marseille, with an obligation to make the move a permanent one further down the line.
"I am very happy to sign for a club like Marseille," Manquillo told the club's official website. "So far, everything is going perfectly well."
