Newcastle United are sure that they can seal a deal to bring Queens Park Rangers star Charlie Austin to St.James Park before the transfer window shuts down.
Austin has revealed his desire to join a Premier League club this summer, following the R's relegation to the Championship.
According to Northern Echo, the Magpies hierarchy are not willing to match the £15m asking price until they receive assurances that Austin's shoulder problem will not hamper his progress next season.
Austin scored 18 league goals for the R's last season.
