West Bromwich Albion strike deal for James Chester

West Bromwich Albion have agreed an £8m fee to sign Hull City defender James Chester, Sky Sports News confirms.

  • The former Manchester United graduate has been a regular for the Tigers in recent seasons, and his performances have attracted interest from several clubs in recent weeks.

    Sky Sports News now reveals that the Tigers have agreed on Chester's sale for an £8m transfer sum, as he was into the last year of his contract at the Yorkshire outfit.

    Chester made 171 appearances for the Tigers since his switch from United in 2011.
