Spain international Sergio Ramos could well be on his way to Manchester United after he rejected a contract extension at Real Madrid.
It had been earlier reported that the central defender had agreed on a new long-term deal at the Bernabeu, thereby squandering United's chances of acquiring his services.
However, Spanish publication AS cites that the 29-year-old is looking for around £7m-a-year, and the lack of progress in contract talks may well lure him into a move to Old Trafford this summer.
Ramos has two years left on his existing deal at Los Blancos.
