Barca to sign Marco Amelia

Livorno goalkeeper Marco Amelia is on the verge of completing a move to La Liga giants Barcelona. The 25-year-old keeper had been linked with a move to Juventus, but it appears the Spanish side have won the race for his signature.

Amelia will then challenge Victor Valdes for the number one spot at the Camp Nou.



The Italian number 2 keeper could join for around £5 million and will be a proven understudy to Victor Valdes.



Livorno have been struggling this season in Serie A and Amelia is reportedly desperate to move away from the club.
