Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has hinted that the club will bring in new recruits before the transfer deadline.
The Gunners have been quiet this summer, having only brought in goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea.
However, the Frenchman revealed in a press conference that he expects to add a couple of players to his squad before the transfer window closes on September 1.
He added that the club are no close to a deal for a top player at the moment.
"I expect [signings] like you, but at the moment we are not close. Listen to everybody, but my job is to make decisions. We want to develop players as well rather than overthinking whether to buy." he told reporters.
