The Turkey international is thought to have agreed terms over a long-term contract at Upton Park, but talks are still being held over a transfer sum.

The Hammers have already had a bid of around &pound3.5m rebuffed by the Turkish champions earlier this summer.

However, it is now widely reported that the East Londoners will come up with a improved offer of around &pound5m for the talented frontman.

Yilmaz has earned 40 caps for his national side till date.
