Wenger defends Arsenal transfer policy

Arsenal boss content with summer spending

03 September 2015 - 06:26

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he is happy with the way the transfer window went for the club.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Frenchman was heavily criticised by pundits worldwide after the Gunners became the only side not to bring in an outfield player in Europe's top divisions.

However, Wenger revealed to the Mirror that he could not find a suitable recruit who could add more firepower to his squad.

He added that it is not a simple process to convince a player of high quality to move to the Emirates.

Arsenal made just one signing in goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea this summer.
