Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentis has revealed that the club would look at the possibility of signing Nathaniel Chalobah on a permanent basis should he impress this season.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game

  • The 20-year-old joined the Naples outfit on loan on transfer deadline day, and Laurentis is hopeful that the youngster will remain at the club for the long-term.

"I hope he does well. Chelsea didn't give us the option to buy him, but should he prove to be an important player during the season we will go on the offensive to keep him." he told reporters.

Chalobah is said to have the versatility to play in either midfield or defence.
