Blues boss Jose Mourinho was understood to be desperate to land the France international during the summer transfer window.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Turin giants had accepted the sale of Pogba to Chelsea, only for the player to interfere and turn down the proposed transfer.

It is also known that the former Manchester United graduate had pledged his future to Juve after holding crunch talks with agent Mino Raiola.

Pogba has made nearly 100 league appearances for the Italian champions.
