Barcelona will make a January move for Celta Vigo attacker Nolito, according to sporting director Robert Fernandez.

The 28-year-old has been heavily tipped to join the Catalans in the summer, in spite of the club's ongoing transfer ban.

It is thought Nolito was interested in the transfer, but was not keen on waiting for his debut until the New Year.

Fernandez has told Spanish reporters that the European champions will explore a deal for the talented forward come the winter transfer window.

Nolito notched 13 assists and 13 goals in La Liga last term.
