Manchester United are expected to renew their interest in Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane next summer, according to reports.

The France international was linked with a move to the Premier League over the summer, with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United keen on his services.

Le 10 Sport now claims that Louis van Gaal's will explore a deal for Varane at the end of the 2015/16 season.

It is added that the young defender could seek fresh pastures elsewhere given he is still a regular in the substitutes' bench.

Varane is currently behind the likes of Pepe and Sergio Ramos for the centre-back role at Real Madrid.
