Chelsea ready to meet Gaya release clause

19 September 2015 - 14:25

Chelsea are ready to trigger the buy-out clause of Valencia defender Jose Gaya, according to reports.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Spanish full-back was tracked by the Premier League champions over the summer, but any kind of deal failed to materialize.

Metro now understands that the club will look to add another left-back to the club's ranks in spite of recruiting Augsburg's Baba Rahman in the summer transfer window.

The report adds that the Blues will seek to trigger the £36m release clause of Los Che sensation Jose Gaya in the New Year.

Gaya has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United.
