After Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack poured scorn on rumours of a move to Real Madrid, it appears the Spanish media are linking Ajax midfielder Wesley Sneijder with a move to the Bernebeu.

The 23-year old free-kick specialist will not come cheap, and some are quoting a figure as much as £15m to sign the Dutch international. Sneijder is an excellent passer of the ball which would suit Real Madrid to a tee. It is inevitable that at some stage of his career, he will be looking for a move to a bigger club.
