Besiktas chase Coloccini

08 January 2008 - 23:10

Deportivo defender Fabricio Coloccini could be ready for a move to Turkey with Besiktas. The Argentinian defender has been linked with a move to Aston Villa in recent months, but a move to Turkey could now be on the agenda for around 6 million Euros.

  • Besiktas secretary general Kenan Öner confirmed that they were in negotiations for Coloccini and that if they do pull off the deal it would be a massive signing for the club.

"If we obtained this player, he would be a great addition to the team," he said.

"Continuously we have tried to buy to players like Ulvi, Zago or Ronaldo that any team would be happy to have and it is not easy to find football players of this type. Coloccini is definitely the right type of player."
