James Wilson inks new Man Utd deal

Young striker James Wilson has committed his future to Manchester United by signing a new four-year contract.

  • The 19-year-old has been linked with a loan switch away from United in recent weeks, but manager Louis van Gaal has iterated that the player remains a main part of his plans for the season.

    Van Gaal has now revealed his delight at seeing the youngster sign a new long-term deal with the Mancunian giants.

    “James is one of the brightest young English prospects and we are delighted he has signed a new contract," he told the club's official website.

    “He is a very talented forward player and has a keen eye for goal. His development is continuing in the right direction and it is clear to see that he has a fine future ahead of him.”
