Gretar Steinsson for Bolton

Gary Megson is looking to sign Gretar Steinsson from AZ Alkmaar. The Bolton boss is looking to strengthen all areas of his squad and sees the Icelandic defender as a potential recruit.

Steinsson has subsequently signed a new contract with the Dutch club, but is keen to play Premier League football.



And according to the defender's agent Jerry de Koning, Megson has registered an interest in Steinsson.



In response to claims talks have taken place, de Koning told De Telegraaf: "Hopefully Bolton are prepared to continue.



"Gretar has never made a secret of his love to play in England."
