The 24-year-old had impressed during his loan spell at Villareal last term, and this earned him a first-team role at the Bernabeu.

However, the player has yet to make a breakthrough to the starting setup having played just 14 minutes of league football during the current campaign.

Catalan daily Sport now understands that Los Che will seek to bring the talented winger to the club when the transfer window reopens in January.

Cheryshev made 41 appearances for the Yellow Submarines last season.
