The Serie A side have made a fantastic start to their league campaign, and currently find themselves top of the pile with 15 points.

However, La Viola boss Paulo Sousa is discontent with the club's defensive options, and has instructed the club's officials to seal a deal for French centre-back Mexes.

Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Italian outfit have arrived at a winter deal for the 33-year-old, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign.

Mexes has made over 100 appearances for the Rossoneri till date.
