Arsenal failed with Kokorin bid

10 October 2015 - 12:42

Russian side Dynamo Moscow are reported to have rejected a loan bid from Arsenal for forward Aleksandr Kokorin.

  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?
  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?

  • The Russian international was linked with a move to the Emirates over the summer, but the Gunners failed to get a deal done.

ESPN now understands that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had wanted the 24-year-old on a season-long loan deal, for which Dynamo were not willing to listen.

It is added that the North London giants could seek to revive their interest for the talented striker in the January transfer window.

Kokorin is said to have made a huge name in his home country in spite of having an average record in front of goal.
