Everton are reportedly planning to offer a contract extension to Ivorian striker Arouna Kone.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The 31-year-old joined the Toffees from Wigan Athletic in 2013, and has since then been in and out of the starting line-up due to a series of knee problems.

However, Kone has evolved into an important first-team player this term, and this has urged the Toffees to rethink over his contract which expires at the end of the season.

The Sun now understands that Roberto Martinez's side are willing to discuss a 12-month extension on his existing contract.

Kone has notched two goals and two assists for his club this season.
