Barcelona consider Robin van Persie swoop

15 October 2015 - 11:34

Barcelona are thought to be readying a January move for former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.

  • Chelsea handed big injury boost for Bayern clash
  • Fernandes unhappy with Man Utd role under Amorim

  • The Netherlands international left United for Turkish side Fenerbahce over the summer, and has since then had much of his game-time from the substitutes' bench.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo now claims that Catalans giants are keen on landing the experienced striker, and had sent club technical secretary Robert Fernandez to watch the 32-year-old in action for the Netherlands against Czech Republic on Tuesday night.

Van Persie had been previously linked with a move to Camp Nou during Tata Martino's managerial reign.
