Kloop not keen on Montoya pursuit

Liverpool boss not interested in Martin Montoya

18 October 2015 - 06:18

Newly appointed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly told the club's officials to scrap a potential move for Barcelona defender Martin Montoya.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The Spanish defender has been a long-term target for the Reds under former boss Brendan Rodgers.

However, The Mirror now understands that Klopp is not convinced with the club's future options, and has asked them to neglect any kind of move for the 24-year-old.

Montoya is currently plying his trade at Italian side Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal.
