Newly appointed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has reportedly told the club's officials to scrap a potential move for Barcelona defender Martin Montoya.
The Spanish defender has been a long-term target for the Reds under former boss Brendan Rodgers.
However, The Mirror now understands that Klopp is not convinced with the club's future options, and has asked them to neglect any kind of move for the 24-year-old.
Montoya is currently plying his trade at Italian side Inter Milan on a season-long loan deal.
