Anelka wants Chelsea move

Nicolas Anelka has admitted he would like to make a move to Chelsea in the coming weeks from Bolton. Chelsea are ready to pay £11 million and Anelka's agent is keen to set up the move.

  • "He really wants to go to Chelsea," Pingisi told L'Equipe.



    "Nicolas is calm. He hopes everything will be finalised this week. He has been waiting for such an opportunity for years.



    "He appreciates that he is at the top of the list of players wanted by Chelsea at the moment."



    Doug Pingisi, Anelka's agent admitted: "For Nico, it is very important he finds a club that will allow him to express himself at the highest level," Pingisi added.



    "Moreover, this club is still involved in every competition, particularly the Champions League."
